Cook’s Companion Wonder Pot: 6 Pots in 1 & Easy Beef Stew Recipe

Are you too busy to fix the comfort foods of winter? Craving soups, gumbo and stews, but can’t find the time to fix them? Well here’s one of the newest kitchen appliances to help, it is called the Cook’s Companion Wonder Pot and it will fix your food in no time!

Wonder Pot

The Wonder Pot Cooker comes in 6 different colors (Blue – Royal blue, Black – True black, Plum – Deep violet, Red – Lava red, Mint – Mint green, Merlot – Burgundy color). Has digital controls that can cook dinner in 6 ways including; Steam, Stew, Rice, Soup, Stir-Fry and Bake. No matter what you decide to cook, this new kitchen appliance can quickly cook it for you.

It also has a time delay function which can help you out when you have a specific time you want dinner ready for. You can set it using 30 minute increments and it goes up to 24 hours.  Just put everything in the pot before leaving your home, set the time delay for say 3:00 if you want it ready for 5:00 and viola! Dinner is served as soon as you walk in the door. Don’t worry if you’re a little late in getting home, dinner will stay warm using the automatic warming setting.

I LOVE beef stew, but don’t always have the time to stand on the stove to cook the meat and then add everything to the pot and stir it frequently so it doesn’t stick to the pot. So when I received the Cook’s Companion Wonder Pot to review (and giveaway),  I just had to try out the beef stew recipe, but I kind of made it my own. What makes this item so wonderful is that you can replace multiple kitchen appliances.  This wonder pot will no doubt become a favorite home goods product.

Here are some other product features that makes the Wonder Pot even more fantastic:

  • Perfect 3.2 qt capacity for smaller meals
  • Easy-to-use programmable digital controls
  • Digital touch screen for easy operation – no knobs to pull / turn
  • Your appliance is safe for counter top use – It fits on the counter top without taking up too much room.
  • Automatic Warm setting keeps food warm so your meal is fresh when you want it
  • Easy cleanup and quick release of food with Whitford Fusion ceramic nonstick inner cooking pot
  • Comes with handy accessories including a recipe book, steam tray, rice measuring cup and serving spatula. You get these accessories because it is part rice-cooker, part steam cooker, and makes soup and stews with the push of a button

Almost forgot to mention that there is also a drip cup! That’s right, there is a cup on the back of the pot to catch any juices that may run when you open the pot! How awesome is that!?

Using my new Wonder Pot made cooking the beef stew so easy and allowed me to continue to work while it cooked! My husband was quite surprised and happy that he had a good meal on a day that I worked all day! LOL

What I changed in the recipe below: The mushroom soup was omitted as my family doesn’t like mushrooms. Thyme was not add, I added about a tablespoon of Italian seasoning instead, onion powder was used instead of whole onion. I used 1 lb of beef stew meat instead of 2 lbs, frozen stew veggies was used instead of fresh and I drained the tomatoes (my hubby doesn’t like tomatoes), so only about a 1/4th of the tomatoes got in the pot, all of the juice made it in.
